The dates for the 52nd Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival are August 15-18, 2013.

Complete the Security Registration Form to sign up with the Security Committee as a volunteer and to tentatively select your work shifts.  You should use this form during the year to update your contact info (like changing your email or mailing address).  Info from this form is used to generate your badge so please be sure you're registered at least two weeks before Fest!! You must also register with the Festival itself and pay the administrative & membership fees to volunteer.

If you have any questions about volunteering for the Security Committee, send us email or contact Norma Bourdon, Front Desk Director, at 215-479-1319 or Barbara Blau, Assistant Chairman for Personnel, at 215-739-4995.

The 2013 Security Committee T-Shirt is available by pre-order only.
Contact Barbara via email or phone at 215-739-4995 for details and to order yours.

Getting (renewing) your Membership and Paying the Volunteer Fee
please read the instructions prepared by the PFS Office (Dated July 11, 2009).

You must be registered as a volunteer, have a current (i.e. paid up) PFS membership and have paid the volunteer fees in order to pick up your badge at the festival and gain access to the campground.  If you don't take care of these items before coming to the Festival, you can expect to wait a very long time waiting on line, quite likely well over an hour, in order to complete the payment and registration process on-site.

You can join the Philadelphia Folksong Society online, or download the membership form at: www.pfs.org/members

See the performers list and other info about the Folk Festival at: www.folkfest.org. It's a really fantastic lineup this year!

We have a FaceBook group PFF Security and a Yahoo Group message board where you can send email to the group, discuss issues, toss out ideas, get feedback, and keep in touch with the committee (like updating your address or phone number).  You need a permanent email account (but it doesn't have to be at yahoo) to join the group. Why not get started today?
